2nd Symposium on Combating Emerging Infectious Diseases

On 16 Dec 2022, a successful collaboration between our organization and the Department of Microbiology at the University of Hong Kong led to the 2nd Symposium on "Combating Emerging Infectious Diseases." Held both at the Hong Kong Science Park and online via Zoom, the event brought together experts and researchers in a dynamic exchange of knowledge.

Distinguished keynote speakers, Professor David Ho from Columbia University and Professor Xiaoning Xu from Imperial College London, shared groundbreaking insights on the forefront of vaccine and antiviral drug research.

Alongside these keynote addresses, our team leaders and project principal investigators delivered engaging talks on their specialized research domains. The symposium drew approximately 160 participants, fostering fruitful discussions and knowledge sharing.

This platform provided a valuable opportunity for both seasoned experts and young researchers in virology and vaccinology to collaborate, exchange ideas, and address the pressing challenges posed by emerging infectious diseases.
