CVVT shines at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva and Inventions Geneva Online Evaluations 2025

InnoHK Centre for Virology, Vaccinology, and Therapeutics (InnoHK CVVT) has achieved remarkable success at the prestigious 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva and Inventions Geneva Online Evaluations 2025, securing three gold medals and one silver medal for their groundbreaking innovations.


Gold Medal Innovations:

  1. Innovative Applications of Proprietary Respiratory Organoids: This innovation introduces novel alveolar models for advanced virus research and accurate antiviral efficacy prediction. Invented by Prof Jie Zhou, Dr Cun Li, Dr Man Chun CHIU, Ms Zhixin Wan, Dr Yifei Yu, Prof Kwok Yung YUEN, Dr Yong Zhang, and Dr Lin Huang.

  2. NanoProtect: A revolutionary oral immune booster powder designed to target respiratory viruses effectively. Invented by Dr Joy-yan Lam and Prof Raven Kok.

  3. Anti-MERS Camel Vaccine: A cutting-edge vaccine preventing viral transmission from camels to humans. Invented by Prof Raven Kok and his team.


Silver Medal Innovation:

  • TMP1 Bispecific Inhibitor: An orally-available inhibitor demonstrating potent anti-coronavirus efficacy. Invented by Dr Hiuping Shuai, Dr Shengyong Yang, Prof Jasper Chan, and Prof Hin Chu.
